Here is a photo of my son relaxing meditatively on the beach at Grand Bend, Lake Huron, Ontario. It was a cold day for swimming, but he just couldn't stay out.
The b&w simplifies the message in this and makes it into such a powerful image of a cold but determined moment. Great stuff.

@Ronnie 2¢: Every now and then a child pauses long enough - this was an exceptionally long pause. I could almost see his appreciation of the beauty around him. Thanks for your comment!
yes -- i agree -- such an adorable little one -- and he seems so introspective! what gorgeous eyes he has -- the spirit behind runs very deep... maybe he will be a philosopher? :) as for your automatic writing -- i loved it!! :D you are spot on -- it is very rare to get to interface w/ that part of someone -- i am honored that it took place on my blog! (of course i did a bit of 'editing' to make it a bit more seamless for everyone else) ;)

@dj.tigersprout: Goodness, thank you for the editing. Heh. I should have checked back but I didn't. I do prefer sites that allow you to edit your own comments, but I also understand the reason behind having it this way too.
And he may grow up to be a philosopher, or a lover, or an auto mechanic. It is fun to muse about where his life will take him!

The textures in this photo are delightful: the wrinkly towel, the soft eyes, the light grass, the moving waves. Also, I like that it is in black and white. It is a dreamy and thoughtful just like him. All your family want an 8x10.
